A Finely crafted glass for craft beers.
These are hand blown in Tokyo and each glass is designed to hold a whole bottle of beer. (Reiko likes The Kernel pale ale from London) For the first Japan Store collection Reiko worked closely with the prestigious Japanese company Shotoku Glass who are renowned for their super thin, yet deceptively strong, hand blown glass to develop this bespoke Beer Glass. She was inspired by the glass blowing process after visiting the Shotoku factory in Tokyo and wanted to utilise this Japanese craftsmanship to create an elegant beer glass specific to the English market – the glass is just the right size to hold one bottle of beer. If beer’s not your thing, the subtle ripple on the exterior of the glass conveniently shows a 50 ml double measure, so you can enjoy the Japanese craftsmanship of this fine glass with classic English drinks like G&T. For Reiko, the highest praise for the design came from the factory floor, with some of Shotoku’s glass blowers among her first customers.
